Cameras
Ready To Roll For United

United's FA Cup exploits are
likely to come under the scrutiny
of the BBC TV cameras when they
visit Stourport Swifts in the
1st Qualifying Round of the
competition this weekend... |
As
part of their Midlands Today
sports coverage, the BBC had
selected the preliminary round
tie between Stourport and Boldmere
St Michaels for filming, a match
which Stourport won 1-0 to earn
a home time against United -
who were simultaneously defeating
Kidsgrove Athletic in their
respective fixture. It
is understood that the channel
will continue to follow Stourport's
progress, until they are removed
from the competition, and then
will transfer their support
to their victors.
United will be hoping to continue
their excellent start to the
season, with 5 victories in
6 games in all competitions
so far, and put on a vintage
performance for the cameras
- with the added incentive of
welcoming the TV crew to Rugby,
if they are successful and then
land a home tie in the next
round.
Supporters are reminded that
should Saturday's game end all-square,
the replay would take place
at Butlin Road on Tuesday 16th
September, kick-off 7.45 p.m.
