Fans
of Coventry City and Arsenal
in Rugby came together
at Rugby Town's Butlin Road
stadium in their masses
to witness a 1-0 win for
the Sky Blues.

An
official attendance of
2,585 turned up to watch
Coventry's first home
reserve game of the season,
staged at Butlin Road.
Rugby
Town will be hosting ten
games this season including
games against Tottenham
Hotspur, Fulham
and Portsmouth
with Coventry's move to
the Ricoh Stadium this
season.

Arsenal
fielded a side including
Spanish goalkeeper Manuel
Almunia, and England
Under 21 International
David Bentley along
with new loan signing
Alexander Song,
nephew of Cameroon defender
Rigobert Song.
Coventry's
side was full of league
experience and they featured
eight players on the fringe
of the first team squad.
The
only goal of the game
was scored after 80 minutes
when ex-Arsenal trainee
Graham Barrett
powered his way through
and tucked a delicate
lob over Almunia to net
against his former club.

All
Coventry reserve games
will be played on a Tuesday
night and will kick-off
at 7pm. Entry is £2 for
adults, £1 for concessions
and free to Coventry City
season ticket holders.
