Jon
Nichols, who made five
appearances for Rugby
at the tail end of last
season, has signed on
for the Valley.
Nichols
has spent his pre-season
with AFC Wimbledon, training
with them, but failed
to make an impression
on the first eleven, so
has agreed to turn out
for Rugby.
Jon
now lives in London, meaning
a mighty commute to train
and play with Rugby and
is preferably looking
for a club in his local
area but is going to see
how things work out traveling
up to Warwickshire.
An
ex-Torquay United Young
Player of the Year, Jon
then spent four years
playing for TeamBath where
he won Manager's Player
of the Year awards operating
from the centre of midfield.
The
24-year-old scored his
first goal for Rugby in
the penultimate home game
of the season against
Gloucester City.
