Rugby
Town manager Billy Jeffrey
has moved to sign 19-year-old
midfielder
Andrew Rigby on
a short-term basis from
Rushden & Diamonds
in time for tomorrow's
visit of Maidenhead United.
With
Willis Francis serving
a two-game suspension,
Billy's options were numbered
but a last-minute deal
was succesful in bringing
in the versatile Rigby.
Andrew,
a former Nottingham Forest
trainee, was signed on
a non-contract basis by
former Rushden boss Paul
Hart and has featured
twice in the first team
this season. He made his
debut two months ago and
was praised by Hart for
his performance who said
that Andrew "did
extremely well" and
was "an exemplary
professional".
Rigby
is expected to feature
in tomorrow's squad to
face Maidenhead as Valley
look to make it three
wins in a row.
