Rugby Town have added the 8th and final game to their pre-season schedule with a trip to Sport Italia Hellenic League Premier side Ardley United.

	Valley faced Nuneaton in a friendly last pre-season at Butlin Road although Rugby were on the wrong end of a 6-0 scoreline

The compete schedule sees Valley take on Blue Square Northern sides Nuneaton Borough and Hinckley United at Butlin Road and Rugby will also host a Luton Town XI in July.

Manager Billy Jeffrey has also arranged four away fixtures - with trips to Bedworth United, Wellingborough, Eastwood Town and Ardley United.

Valley complete their pre-season games with a home game against BGB South & West side Thatcham Town.

Rugby played a much-touted Nuneaton in last season's pre-season schedule and a 6-0 win for Boro confirmed many people's thoughts that they would be challenging for promotion to the Blue Square Premier.

However, a string of bad results at the start of the season led to the sacking of Roger Ashby with assistant Kevin Wilkin taking charge.

Hinckley United were within minutes of promotion to the Blue Square Premier last season but lost out in a play-off final defeat to Farsley Celtic.

Luton Town were relegated from the Coca-Cola Championship at the end of last season, but new manager Kevin Blackwell will be looking to send the Hatters straight back up. It is expected that Blackwell will field a side of mostly fringe players against Rugby, but he could throw in some first teamers, as we have seen in the past at Butlin Road.

Thatcham Town finished 6th in the BGB South & West Division last season while Eastwood Town - who defeated Rugby in the 2nd Qualifying Round of the FA Cup in 2003 - gained promotion to the Unibond Premier Division for this season.

Ardley United play at step 5 in the pyramid in the Sport Italia Hellenic Premier division and they finished fourth last season. The town of Ardley is in Oxfordshire - just off junction 10 of the M40.
