FA Cup & FA Trophy Draw 07/08
Monday 2nd July 2007

Rugby Town have been drawn away to Glapwell, Dudley Town or Stone Dominoes in the FA Cup sponsored by E.On First Qualifying Round while Clevedon Town will be the visitors to Butlin Road for the First Qualifying Round of the FA Carlsberg Trophy.

Rugby made it through to the 3rd Qualifying Round last season before coming unstuck against Chelmsford City at Butlin Road

Glapwell ply their trade in the Northern Counties East Premier League, Dudley in the West Midlands Premier Division and Stone Dominoes in the VodKat North West Counties League.

The three clubs must negociate the Extra Preliminary and Preliminary Qualifying Rounds for the opportunity to host Valley on Saturday 15th September 2007, kick-off 3pm.

Town made it through to the 3rd Qualifying Round last season by beating Deeping Rangers and Ilkeston Town but despite leading at half time, Rugby couldn't hold on against Chelmsford at Butlin Road.

Rugby haven't made it through to the first round proper since 1993.

In the Trophy, Rugby have drawn fellow BGB Premier side Clevedon Town. The game will be played at Butlin Road on Saturday 20th October 2007, kick-off 3pm.

Valley have endured early exits in the FA Trophy in the last two seasons to lowly opposition in the shape of Leighton Town and Hanwell Town and Billy Jeffrey's men will be looking to better that record.
