Rugby
Town have been drawn away to Glapwell,
Dudley Town or Stone Dominoes in the
FA Cup sponsored by E.On First Qualifying
Round while Clevedon Town will be
the visitors to Butlin Road for the
First Qualifying Round of the FA Carlsberg
Trophy.
Glapwell
ply their trade in the Northern Counties
East Premier League, Dudley in the
West Midlands Premier Division and
Stone Dominoes in the VodKat North
West Counties League.
The
three clubs must negociate the Extra
Preliminary and Preliminary Qualifying
Rounds for the opportunity to host
Valley on Saturday 15th September
2007, kick-off 3pm.
Town
made it through to the 3rd Qualifying
Round last season by beating Deeping
Rangers and Ilkeston Town but despite
leading at half time, Rugby couldn't
hold on against Chelmsford at Butlin
Road.
Rugby
haven't made it through to the first
round proper since 1993.
In
the Trophy, Rugby have drawn fellow
BGB Premier side Clevedon Town. The
game will be played at Butlin Road
on Saturday 20th October 2007, kick-off
3pm.
Valley
have endured early exits in the FA
Trophy in the last two seasons to
lowly opposition in the shape of Leighton
Town and Hanwell Town and Billy Jeffrey's
men will be looking to better that
record.
