Rugby started their pre-season schedule with a trip to BGB One Midlands side Bedworth United on Tuesday evening and played out an entertaining 3-3 draw.

Luton will send a youthful side with Kevin Blackwell and his first team currently touring Norway.

Valley have hosted Luton twice in recent seasons - including a 1-1 draw in 2003 and a 3-1 defeat against a very strong Hatters line-up in 2004.

The League One side have already played BGB Southern League opposition twice in the last week with visits to Hitchin Town (which included an appearance for ex-Scotland International Don Hutchison) and Leighton Town.

Rugby manager Billy Jeffrey will again look to experiment with his side and will be hoping to welcome back captain Craig Herbert as well as midfielder Willis Francis - who both missed the friendly against Bedworth.

Billy is expected to field trialists Stefan Morley and Scott Musgrove as he looks to confirm his squad for the new season.

The game is on.
