Promising
striker Akin Aladetoun has agreed
a one-year contract with Rugby Town.
The
Nigerian-born forward joined the club
last season and his impressive spell
in the reserves eventually led to
a call up to the first team squad.
Having
only previously played local football,
the 21-year-old was thrown into action
for his full debut against Northwood
in the final home game of last season
and his two goals helped Valley to
a 3-0 victory.
Manager
Billy Jeffrey was delighted to secure
the striker's signature - especially
given the possible injury to last
season's top scorer Jason Taylor.
He
said: "Akin has showed excellent
development throughout pre-season.
He has made some good performances
and caused opposition defenders plenty
of problems with his pace and physical
presence."
Aladetoun
joins contracted strikers David Stone
and David Kolodynski at Butlin Road
for the 07/08 season.
