The Annual Awards were also handed out to those individuals who excelled in their contributions for the club over the season.

On the pitch, goalkeepr Andy Stevens' magnificent efforts between the posts this season for Valley were rewarded with the of Players' Player of the Season and the Supporters' Player of the Season trophies.

Andy, 22, joined the club last summer from Bedford Town and impressed immediately with fantastic displays of shot-stopping and his consistency over the season was superb. Even up until the last game at Bashley, Andy saved a penalty and made a string of fine saves.

Meanwhile, David Kolodynski was presented with the Vice Presidents' Player of the Year and the Golden Boot for his 31-goal season.

Rugby-born David, 20, who progressed through the youth ranks at Town ended the season as not only the club's top scorer but also the BGB Premier Division top scorer with 26 league goals.

Left back Stephan Morley was handed the Manager's Player of the Season award by Tony Dobson to reflect a consistenly good season from the 21-year-old.

Stephan made the most appearances in 2007/8 but moved on to Banbury at the end of that season before re-joining Valley in October. Since his return, Steph has showed off his great passing range and has added some steel and aggression to his play over the last year.

Delroy Gordon amassed the largest amount of Star Man awards over the season to claim the Media Player of the Season award.

Delroy was handed the captaincy in Craig Herbert's absence midway through the season and such were his performances that he held onto the armband when Craig returned to fitness.
