Player of the Season Andy Stevens & captain Delroy Gordon have committed their short term futures to Rugby Town agreeing one-year contracts with the club.

The influential duo were two of Valley's best performers last season with Stevens picking up two Player of the Season awards and Gordon the Media Star Man award.

Centre back Delroy, 24, will be featuring in his fifth season at Butlin Road after joining the club from Stamford in 2005.

Gordon, who has amassed 185 appearances and 20 goals for Valley, has agreed a one-year extension to his current deal.

Stevens, 22, enjoyed a terrific first season with Rugby Town after joining from Bedford in July 2008. His consistency between the sticks earnt him both the Players' Player and Supporters' Player awards at the start of the month.

The signings come as part of manager Tony Dobson's plan to keep as many of last season's squad as possible while looking to strengthen the squad with some fresh faces in the close season.
