Rugby Town have reluctantly allowed defender Stephan Morley to leave and join Zamaretto League rivals Halesowen Town.

Despite returning from UniBond Premier side King's Lynn a couple of weeks ago to re-sign for Rugby, Morley has opted to join former boss Morrell Maison at the Grove.

Morley worked under Maison during a spell at Kettering Town before he joined Rugby in 2007.

Halesowen are reportedly on the brink of entering administration and could be subject to a fans' takeover meaning a 10 point deduction for the start of the season.
