Sockett
& assistant Dave Stringer have
been hard at work talking to potential
signings and Martin says that more
signings are on the horizon:
"We
have made verbal agreements with a
few players and hopefully they can
be concluded shortly while we are
still speaking with others.
"We
will also be speaking further with
a number of the squad from last season
who we have not had chance to speak
with so far and that includes the
promising youngsters who are coming
through and have come through the
youth team.
The
club have confirmed two signings new
signings this week with 24-year-old
Chris Charles and 21-year-old Dave
Timmins.
No-nonsense
Chris lists Stratford, Romulus and
Rushall amongst his previous clubs
while Dave has previously played for
Shepshed, Romulus and Sutton Coldfield.
Martin
is pleased to be making more progress
on the transfer front:
"Charles
is a 6 foot, no-nonsense, pacy defender
while Timmins is a talented defender
or midfield player - he is 6 foot
plus and has great stamina and footballing
ability."
Pre-season
is set to start for Martin and the
team on 29th June before the friendly
matches begin.
