After
away wins against Leighton Town and,
more impressively, Zamaretto Premier
side Hemel Hempstead Town Valley face
another away journey to face Evo-Stik
Northern Premier Stocksbridge.
The
Steels play a level above Rugby but
Martin Sockett's men should not be
put off having already disposed of
higher league Hemel and more recently
Halesowen Town in the Red Insure Cup.
Beating
Stocksbridge will, however, still
be no mean feat as the Steels lie
18th in the Evo-Stik Premier but have
recorded some impressive wins this
season.
Mickleover
Sports who defeated Valley 0-3 in
a pre-season friendly in August currently
like below the Steels so Rugby should
know it will be very tough.
Rugby
have not really made any genuine progress
in the competition since the 2002/3
season when wins against higher league
Hucknall and Runcorn yielded a tie
against then Conference side Telford
United (now AFC Telford) at Butlin
Road.
Head2Head:
Valley have never faced Stocksbridge
before.
Team
news: Rugby boss Sockett
may have a couple of selection headaches
with Luke Keen's hat-trick performance
on Tuesday night. Also Chad Sheppard
returned to action in midweek after
injury so could feature. Nick
Heath is unavailable for the game.
Valley
squad from: Dave Clarke;
Chris Charles, Gary Moran, Danny Phipps-Hall,
Melvin Gourlay, Nick Heath, Niki Preston;
Chad Sheppard, Andy Gundelach, Paddy
Connolly, Ben Steane, Richard Wesley;
Danny Edmond, Seb Hamilton, Warwick
Alexander, Tyrone Fagan, Luke Keen.
