Rugby
Town have been confirmed in the newly-named
Evo-Stik Southern League Division
One Central division.
By
RUGBYTOWNFC.COM
Evo-Stik
will take over the sponsorship of
the Southern League from Zamaretto
from 2011-12 as Valley will line-up
in the same division as last season.
Rugby
had been preparing for a move to the
Northern Premier League Division One
South due to regional re-shuffling
but now due to a ground grading issue,
Rugby are now likely to continue in
the Zamaretto Division One Central
as per last season.
Enfield
1893 failed ground grading inspection
for promotion to the Ryman Isthmian
League Division One has meant that
Ware Town, who were originally earmarked
to play in the Southern League, have
been moved back into the Isthmian
League with Valley taking the vacant
Southern League place.
All
of the southward movement is to accommodate
Ossett Town who had the best record
of the relegated teams nationwide
to earn a reprieve in the Northern
Premier League.
To
add to the confusion the new sponsors
of the Southern League are Evo-Stik
who are also the sponsors of the Northern
Premier League.
The
final piece to the jigsaw is that
Bedworth United have returned to the
Southern League set-up due to Rushden
& Diamonds' recent demise
Rushden
currently have no place in the non-league
pyramid due to their financial situation
with a winding-up petition in progress
but they may still take a place in
the Southern League Premier.
This
means Valley will line-up against
the familiar faces from last season
minus Arlesey Town & Hitchin Town
who were promoted, and Atherstone
Town who resigned their place while
Soham Town Rangers have moved to the
Ryman League.
Beaconsfield
SYCOB managed to earn a reprieve while
Rugby will also face four new teams
next season in the shape of Fleet
Town who have been transferred from
the Ryman League along with promoted
sides Chalfont St Peter, Chertsey
and St Neot's Town.
The
league structures are still open to
appeal and will not be fully confirmed
for another week or so.
The
full line-up is confirmed as follows:
