Rugby recorded a 2-0 win against promotion hopefuls Slough Town in their last outing at Butlin Road three weeks ago although since Valley have suffered two disappointing away defeats to St Neots and Uxbridge.

Dave Stringer's men will be looking to bounce back against a Bedfont side who currently sit third from bottom.

However if last season's encounters are anything to go by, this afternoon's game will be extremely tough and their current league position most likely belies the team's ability.

Last season Bedfont made a similarly poor start but recovered with a strong second half of the season to finish in the top half.

In the two meetings between the sides last season Rugby recorded wins both home and away with a 4-2 win at Butlin Road almost a year ago and a 3-2 win at Bedfont in April this year.

Valley boss Stringer will be hoping that full backs Gary Moran (ankle) and Jamel Wilson (hamstring) are both fit to feature after picking up knocks last week.

Meanwhile Rugby hope to have secured the services of Barwell winger Harry Harris in time for this afternoon's game.

The 23-year-old former Walsall trainee has had spells with Hinckley United, Chasetown and Rushall Olympic.

Otherwise Stringer will have to decide whether to shuffle his pack after last Saturday's disappointing reversal against Uxbridge.

Valley Squad from: Louis Connor, Pete Smith; Gary Moran, Dominic Reece, Niki Preston, Melvin Gourlay, Jamel Wilson; Robbie Banks, Ben Steane, Richard Wesley, Andy Gundelach, Adam Khan, Lynval Da Costa, Ryan Isherwood, Adam Cayless, Harry Harris; Seb Hamilton, Tyrone Fagan, Luke Keen.
