It won’t just be play-off contenders Rugby Town and Barton Rovers putting themselves through their paces this Saturday, as the team from Rugby’s Virgin Active Health Club will also be at the game hosting a series of events for 8-16 year olds.
The Virgin Activity Day launches the partnership between the Junction One Retail Park enterprise and Valley, and will be repeated again at Town’s final league fixture of the season against Royston on April 25th.
This Saturday’s pre- and post-match schedule sees the Virgin crew offering Speed, Agility & Quickness (SAQs) sessions and SandBell circuits, with a health and fitness hot desk offering advice and analysis on nutritional and postural matters.
Supporting the event’s motto "Fun & Fitness All The Way", there will also be a face painting station in-situ, with the full programme set to start from 2pm.
Virgin manager Yaqub Mogul is looking forward to the day’s events. He commented: "The Activity Day kicks-off our tie up with the football club and will hopefully be well-attended. We are working together to inspire health and wellbeing, and also to promote the fact that whatever your age or ability - exercise is for everyone."
Ground admission for under 16’s is just £1 and any child wishing to take part in the activity programme should register their name and contact details by email to yaqub.mogul@virginactive.co.uk or by telephoning him on 01788 544310. |
