Rugby Town have made the signing of former Corby Town defender Edi Appleton.
Appleton signs from Stamford who he joined on the eve of the season from Corby but only featured in one game for The Daniels before deciding to join Rugby instead.
Edi was with Corby since January 2014 and part of their Southern League Premier Division Championship squad last season.
Appleton left the Steelmen on the eve of the new 15/16 season to join Stamford but featured in just one game before opting to move on to join Rugby.
Edi has previously played had spells with Hinckley United, Hyde and Oadby Town.
The 29-year-old centre back will be available for tonight's trip to Tividale in the NPL Division One South.
Rugby manager Gary Mills was hoping to have Edi available for Saturday but an FA rule meant that he was not able to be signed until Tuesday due to not having been signed at Stamford for at least 14 days. |
