Rugby have been drawn away to National League North side Brackley Town for a second successive season in the Emirates FA Cup.
It will be the fourth season in a row that Valley have progressed to the Second Qualifying Round and will be hoping to make it through to the Third Qualifying Round for a second successive season, however they have a tough task in overcoming Brackley who play two leagues higher in the non-league pyramid.

Brackley were Rugby's conquerors last season in the Third Qualifying Round after a replay at Butlin Road after Valley had enjoyed victories against Coventry Sphinx, Lincoln United and Ilkeston.
However in contrast to last season, when Brackley were in poor form at the start of the campaign, the Saints are in great form this season having lost just one game and currently lie 7th in the National League North.
Including last season, Valley have reached the Third Qualifying Round four occasions in the last 10 years before suffering
defeats to Chelmsford
City in 2006, Bishop's
Stortford in 2008 and Worcester City in 2013.
Valley
last reached the FA Cup First Round
proper back in 1993-4 nearly 18 years
ago while Rugby's best FA Cup record
came in 1987-88 and 1992-93 when they
reached the Second Round Proper.
The game will be played at Brackley's St James' Park on Saturday 17th September 2016. |
