Rugby Town will compete in the Midland Football League Premier Division in the 2017/18 season after the FA released the Step 5/6 allocations.
The listings are still subject to ratification at the annual general meetings of the various competitions.
The new season will represent the first time Valley have spent outside of the Southern or Northern Premier league for 34 years although the division features a number of familiar foes from years gone by, notibly opponents from recent cup campaigns.
The biggest surprise in the line-up is perhaps Worcester City who resigned from their position in the National League due to financial reasons, dropping three levels to the Midland League.
Rugby faced Worcester twice away in the FA Cup at Kidderminster's Aggborough ground in 2013 and 2014 and they now groundshare with newly-promoted Bromsgrove Sporting, who Rugby also faced in the FA last season at Butlin Road.
Meanwhile in recent years Rugby have also faced the likes of Coventry Sphinx, Long Eaton United and Hereford-based side Westfields in the FA Cup.
The last time Rugby faced any of next season's line-up in a league fixture was back in the Southern League Western Division in 2004 against Shepshed Dynamo and Stourport Swifts.
The first league fixture is likely to be on Saturday 12th August, a week after the first game of the season in the FA Cup.
