Rugby Town put in a very good pre-season performance to win confidently at Southern League Division One side Evesham United.
Manager Carl Adams made five changes to his side as he looked to utilise his squad with several games in a short space of time as strikers Jazz Luckie and Sam Lockley came into the side along with Harry Holloway, Liam Francis and Daniel Kavanagh.
It was Luckie who opened the scoring early on finishing from inside the area after being fed by Dan White.
Holloway could have extended Rugby's lead in the first half while Matt Hill had to make a smart stop at the other end in what was a tight first half.
Academy prospect Lewis Padmore made an immediate impact after coming off the bench just past the hour mark as he finished off a nice move which had culminated in Charlie Evans' cut-back.
Evans himself got in on the scoring himself to make it three goals in two for him before Kieran Fitzgerald made it four late on with his first goal for Rugby.
