FA Cup Draw 2019/20
Rugby Town have been drawn away to Midland Football League Premier Division side Sporting Khalsa in the FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round.
Perennial contenders Khalsa finished third in the MFL Premier last season whilst they finished just above Valley in the table back in the 2017/18 season when both sides were in the MFL Premier.
Former Valley defender and assistant Ross Miller is now on the coaching staff at Khalsa who Rugby did the double over in the 17/18 season.
Last season Rugby progressed to the Second Qualifying Round with memorable wins over higher division Evesham United and Redditch United before bowing out at Butlin Road against Hednesford Town.
Meanwhile, due to finishing third in the league last season, Valley have earnt a bye into the First Round Proper of the FA Vase this season.

Valley have reached as far as the Third Qualifying Round once in recent history before existing to then-Conference North side Worcester City in 2013.
Valley
last reached the FA Cup First Round
proper back in 1993-4 nearly 18 years
ago while Rugby's best FA Cup record
came in 1987-88 and 1992-93 when they
reached the Second Round Proper.
This year's Extra Preliminary Round tie will be played at The Aspray Arena on Saturday 10th August 2019.
The winners of the tie will travel to Bet Victor Northern Premier Division One South East side Belper Town in the First Qualifying Round. |
