Rugby 0-0 FC Stratford

Rugby Town got their first action under their belts since the Covid-19 lockdown back in March with a competitive warm-up match against FC Statford.

The game was closely-fought and competitive in sweltering heat on the 3G astro at Butlin Road with both sides missing good chances.

With assistant Justin Marsden deputising on the sidelines for manager Carl Adams who was unavailable due to family reasons, Rugby named a full starting XI from last season's squad with just Ryan Seal, Jamal Clarke and Keenah Rosser unavaliable.

Rugby's next action is a friendly match at Gresley Rovers on Tuesday evening.
