Rugby Drawn Away to Worcester in Trophy
Rugby Town have been drawn away to Worcester City in the Isuzu FA Trophy Third Round Qualifying.
Worcester enter this stage of the competition having been promoted to the Southern League Premier Central after winning the play-offs in the NPL Midlands last season.
City also moved into the 12,000 capacity Sixways Stadium this summer too after spending a few seasons at Claines Lane.
Last season Worcester won both games against Valley as they secured back-to-back promotions.
The superb 3-2 comeback win at home to Belper Town sees Valley get past the Third Round Qualifying for the first time in 21 years when they had the luxury of starting in the First Round Proper.
The FA Trophy features teams from the National League Premier (Step 1 of non-league pyramid) down to Rugby's league and equivalent (Step 4).
The match against Worcester will be played at the Sixways Stadium on Saturday 4th October 2025 with the game to be determined by a penalty shootout with no extra time and no replay if that match is drawn. |
