Nuttall Joins Valley
Rugby Town are pleased to confirm that exciting winger Aaron Nuttall has agreed to join for the new season.
The 21-year-old arrives at Butlin Road following spells last season with Lutterworth Town, Rugby Borough and Corby Town while previously enjoying a highly successful period with Hinckley Leicester Road.
During the 2023/24 campaign, Nuttall was named the Northern Premier League Midlands Young Player of the Season and was also selected in the division’s Team of the Season after a standout year with Leicester Road.
A product of the Aylestone Park youth setup, Nuttall has long been admired by the club, with manager Grant Joshua delighted to finally bring him to Rugby Town: "Another highly exciting signing in Nutts.
"I’m looking forward to working with him. There are bits of his game where I think we can improve an already top player for this level and above.
"He needs to settle somewhere after a few moves last season and I’m delighted that he’s agreed to come here and be a part of this new-look squad we’re putting together."
Joshua admitted the winger has caused problems for his teams for several years: "Every single time he’s played against one of my sides, I’ve thought: 'I'd love to have you in my side'. He’s given my full-backs a torrid time.
"He’s rapid, dynamic, can go past you on the inside or outside and he plays with no fear. "
He’s going to be a huge asset in our aims and ambitions for the next couple of years."
Nuttall becomes the latest addition to Grant Joshua's squad as preparations continue ahead of the new season. |
