Jamie agreed to join Rugby in May 2026 from Northfield Town and was made club captain.

A then 30-year-old Ashmore joined with plenty of experience and a strong record of success including a Step 5 promotion with Lye Town under current boss Grant Joshua in 2023.

Jamie was also part of the squad that won promotion from the UCL Premier South in 2024 with Racing Club Warwick.

Unfortunately unavailability during the opening weeks of the season made his Valley stint short-lived and Jamie left the club in September 2026 after a handful of apperances.

Ashmore’s career included spells with clubs such as Halesowen Town, Redditch United, Alvechurch, Barwell, Bedworth United and Highgate United, with extensive experience at Step 3 level alongside multiple successful promotion campaigns lower down the pyramid.

Most recently Jamie was part of the Northfield that won the MFL Division Town side in the 25/26 season.
