Having been surprisingly released from the Coventry City academy just over two years ago, the 19 year-old Blenkinsopp has been a prolific scorer at youth and reserve team level at Manor Park, but injuries last season hampered his attempt to make the breakthrough into the first team. He has already had a loan spell this season at Unibond League One side Gresley Rovers, where he notched four goals in his four appearances. Joined Rugby on a short-term loan in January 2007 and after 4 league appearances, he returned to Nuneaton.
