Ashley re-signed for Rugby Town in September 2021 from Long Buckby.
The goalkeeper impressed on his return to his hometown club and signed a contract in February 2022 to keep him at the club until May 2023.
Ash spent most of the 2022/23 season on loan at fellow UCL Premier South side Cogenhoe United where he made 26 appearances as they got through to the Northants County Cup final at the Sixfields.
Bodycote left the club in May 2023.
Ashley originally signed first team forms in August 2015 after a sudden call up to the squad.
The then 16-year-old goalkeeper was thrown in at the deep end on the eve of an FA Cup fixture with Coventry Sphinx after Scott Dutton made himself unavailable.
Ashley played superbly and kept a clean sheet before also featuring for Rugby in a league game at Basford.
Bodycote left to join Rugby Borough in March 2018 and has since featured for Long Buckby. |
