Matthew signed from Midland Alliance side Stratford Town in November 2009.

An enthusiastic and quick striker, the then 26-year-old striker had to wait until February 2010 for his first goal which came at Liberty Way against Nuneaton in a 1-1 draw.

Brown added five more goals in the season before leaving for pastures new in 2010.
