Lee
was appointed
as Valley's
first team
manager in
November 2009.
The
35-year-old
former Northampton
Town defender
replaced the
outgoing Tony
Dobson with
Rugby rock
bottom of
the Zamaretto
Premier with
the task of
turning the
season around.
Colkin's
appointment
at Rugby is
his first
in a full
managerial
position and
is assisted
by close friend
Michael Love.
After
a difficult
start, Colkin
had to wait
until December
to claim his
first win
but the struggle
continued
and Rugby
managed just
four wins
all season
and were subsequently
relegated.
Lee
left the club
by mutual
consent in
April 2010.
Lee
had an eight
year professional
career, starting
as an apprentice
at Northampton
Town, and
then going
on to feature
in more than
100 first
team matches
for the Cobblers.
He
also played
at Leyton
Orient, before
making a successful
move into
the non-league
game - where
he featured
for a number
of clubs including
Hednesford,
Morecambe,
Burton Albion,
Tamworth,
Hinckley,
Kettering
and Hucknall
within the
Conference
structure. |
