Daren
agreed to
join Rugby
for the 2008/9
season in
July 2008
after an impressive
two-year spell
with Spartans
South Midlands
Division One
side Stony
Stratford
Town.
Dykes
netted over
eighty goals
in two seasons
for Stony
which prompted
former boss
Rod Brown
to move for
the big striker.
Daren
started his
career at
Tottenham
before moving
to Swindon
Town where
he played
several times
in the football
league. Daren
had caught
the eye of
the Swindon
management
during a successful
spell with
Buckingham
Town however,
a serious
knee ligament
injury halted
Daren's progress
at professional
level.
Halesowen
Town signed
Daren in September
after only
making five
appearances
for Rugby
but he returned
in October
under new
manager Tony
Dobson but
has struggled
with injury
since.
Opted
to take a
step back
down the non-league
pyramid for
the 2009/10
season to
join Newport
Pagnell Town.
