Kevin
was an experienced forward
player who had proved
over his lengthy career
that he could lead the
line with authority.
His goalscoring feats
are well known in non-league
circles, after scoring
30 goals for Bedford in
the Ryman Premier Division
in 2002 and also 33 goals
for Raunds Town in the
Southern League Midland
Division in 1999. After
starting his career as
a trainee with Watford,
Kevin didn't make it as
a professional and was
signed by Roger Ashby
at Rushden & Diamonds,
where Rugby manager Billy
Jeffrey was assistant.
After many years in the
Southern & Isthmian
leagues, Slinn spent last
season with Brackley Town
and a loan spell with
Stamford before joining
up with Jeffrey at Rugby.
Left a season later for
Wellingborough. |
