Pete joined Rugby from Northampton Specer in July 2011.

The then 25-year-old goalkeeper was the player of the season at UCL side Spencer last season and will hope to pin down the number one jersey at Butlin Road.

Smith's start to his Rugby Town career was halted by a shoulder injury picked up in pre-season and had to wait until November to make his league debut in the Southern League Cup win at Woodford.

After a good spell in the side, Smith was eventually displaced in the side by Irish goalkeeper David Bevan.
