Jason
originally signed for
Rugby Town in July 2006
after impressing in pre-season
friendlies.
A
tall striker with an excellent
touch who, at 20, had
already had league experience
with Rushden & Diamonds
where he broke through
into their first team
& featured in over
20 games scoring 3 goals.
Also spent a part of the
2005/6 season at Nuneaton
Borough with a loan spell.
Made
a slow start at Butlin
Road before exploding
into life with a flurry
of goals including a hat-trick
in the 4-3 win over Halesowen.
Scooped four awards in
his first season including
Supporters' Player and
Manager's Player of the
Season and netted 24 goals
to earn the golden boot.
Picked
up a knee injury at the
tail end of the 06/07
season against King's
Lynn and after braking
down in a pre-season game
against Eastwood, the
player sustained cruciate
ligament damage which
required reconstructive
surgery.
Jason
made a return to first
team action after a 16-month
absence in August 2008
as a substitute against
Chippenham Town at Butlin
Road before opting to
follow ex-manager Rod
Brown to Bromsgrove.
Taylor
returned to Butlin Road
in December 2008 but after
being restricted to substitute
appearances left the club
in April 2009, joining
Banbury United for the
09/10 season. |
