Kevin signed from NPL Premier side Barwell in September 2015.
The then 29-year-old midfielder, who has 100 Football League appearances to his name burst onto the scene as an exciting youngster with Coventry City in the Championship.
Irish-born Thonrton then had spells with Brighton & Hove Albion, Northampton Town before dropping into the Conference to play for Wrexham and Tamworth where he played under then Rugby boss Dale Belford.
Kevin was an instant hit with the fans and was key in turning the clubs fortunes around in the 2015/16 season, scoring 18 goals and providing 14 assists from his advanced midfield position.
Thornton left the club at the end of the 2015/16 season. |
