Ben signed for Rugby Town in July 2009 after finishing the previous season with Atherstone Town in their promotion push from the Zamaretto Midland.

The then 25-year-old began his career coming through the ranks at Hinckley United, featuring for both the youth and reserve sides, before making just one appearance for the first team during season 2002-03.

After a spell with his local side Bedworth Ex-Service, he was snapped up by Bedworth United and during season 2005-06 his form soon alerted the attentions of some Conference clubs, before eventually opting for a move to AFC Telford United in February 2006.

The midfielder moved onto Rushall Olympic before re-joining Bedworth and was made their captain last season.

Ben left Valley after just five appearances in September 2009 following a poor start to the season.
