| The
Falcons claimed the league title with their 15th straight win.
Following on
from last week’s important win against Wooldale, Rugby were strong
favourites going in to this game.
They came out
of the blocks all cylinders firing, with early strikes from Arran
Hinds and Sonny Lynch. Further goals from Bertie McLaren, Alex Redpath-Potter
and Matthew Simpson, and four more from Hinds made it a very comfortable
9-0 half time scoreline.
Hinds brought
his tally to six, before substitutes Tom Cooke-Neill and Shaun Stuart
continued the scoring spree. Redpath-Potter got his second, before
Hackleton rallied to claim a consolation goal. Normal service resumed
with Dan Coleman and Pearse MacLeod completing the rout. A fantastic
achievement lads – reward for all the effort and good football you
have played this season.
Squad:
Scales, Briggs , Macleod, Cunningham, Ellis(MOM), Simpson, Kill(c),

The
Falcons were always favourites in this top against bottom clash.
Early pressure
from the home side forced corner after corner, with Dillon Cunningham
finishing coolly for the opener. Jonathan Kill made it 2-0 after
good work by Sonny Lynch. Straight from the restrart, a lapse in
defence allowed Drayton to reduce the deficit. Arran Hinds then
took control up front, scoring a hat-trick to make it 5-1 at half
time. Following the interval, the Town midfield dominated, with
Shaun Stuart (MOM) providing danger with surging runs down the right,
linking well with Matthew Simpson. Further goals from Arran Hinds(2),
Nic Onyett(2), Tom Cooke-Neill(2) and a superb volley from Kill
made this a comfortable victory. Well done lads – everyone played
their part to maintain pole position!

Town 2-3 Rugby Town Falcons |
| 4 February
2007 | Northampton & District Youth Alliance League U12’s Division

| Unbeaten
since September, Daventry were always going to be tough opposition.
The first half
was a close encounter, but, Rugby could not convert early chances
and Daventry score from a corner to go into the interval ahead.
A lapse in concentration in defence saw Daventry go 2-0 up midway
through the second half. The introduction of substitutes revitalised
the Falcons, with Dan Coleman scoring with a great flick over the
keeper from close range to reduce the deficit. The midfield of Matthew
Simpson, Jon Kill, Alex Redpath-Potter and in particular Bertie
McLaren(MOM), started to dominate. With the reintroduction of Arran
Hinds, the Falcons drew level. Then, into the final minutes, Simpson
put in a low cross for Coleman to seal the 3 points. Fantastic commitment
from all – 7 wins from 7!
