Match Reports

Keresley Colts 7-0 Rugby Town Colts
12th November 2006

RT Sponsors of K M Motors, came away from a tough match, with a tough defeating result, against top of the league table Kerseley.

Kerseley were a very strong and confident team, from the kick off they dominated hard from all over the field.

RT had created a few chances of their own, and any chance that had come our way, we were just unable to finish.

Despite and all round defensive game for RT we fought very hard with grit and determination.

Well done to all the boys for constant hardwork and continued efforts throughout.

Rugby Town Boys 4-3 Balsall & Berkswell
18th October 2006

Rt Sponsors of K M Motors, displayed some excellent football and took a well earned three points.

The whole match presented a rewardful watch for all spectators with end to end action from start to finish.

Rt having started very well, within 2minutes a free kick taken by Jordan Niner allowed Nathaniel Dickens the first of the game, Rt dominated the first half with a strong presence.

Further goals then created by midfielder Stephen Russell rewarded David Manklow, a solo effort by Dickens with a cheeky chip over the BB keeper rewarded him another. BB responding 7 minutes from time, to take the half to a 3-1 lead for Rt.

RT held the lead very well throughout the second half, 21 minutes in Manklow finished off, the well worked efforts of Jack Mozley to stretch the lead further.

The whole game was nail biting action BB never gave up any hope of a come back. Rt player of the match Ryan Higginson, Rt goalkeeper kept us alive in this half with many a good saves as BB pressured us, they rewarded themselves with a two goal come back within closing minutes, Rt hanging on, deserved the win.

Well done to the whole team.

Rugby Town Boys 1 Rugby Town Colts 1
1st October 2006

Rt colts sponsors of K M Motors, displayed an excellent team performance, for all supporting parents and themselves to be proud of.

From the kick off colts dominated so hard, shots on goal coming from all angles, but just not able to find the back of the net, RT Colts never stepped off the peddle, RT boys finding and feeling the pressure from all around. RT Boys breaking chance came from a Colts mix up in defence to allow them the net, by the half mark colts trailed by that 1 goal, but only from being denied their own supply of great chances.

Second half and 2 teams, strong , determined to take them vital winning points, battled so hard against one another.

Colts then got their break, as stephen Russell crossed a ball in to the area for a well deserved deflection to reward the Colts a well earned goal. RT Colts were outstanding, more goals should have gone their way, but a draw was enough for them to feel the winners.
Well done to the whole team.
