Rugby Town Falcons 6-0 Thurlaston
1 April 2007

The Falcons finished there first season of mini soccer off in the same fashion as they started, with a fantastic performance.

All the goals were a result of a team effort, George Heaven crashing two goals home with great power, Alfie Speed cooly converting a great cross from Tom Cleaton, Harry Collings firing home from a wide position on a narrow angle and Tom Cleaton who scored twice with well controlled and directed shots to beat the keeper.

These goals were backed up by great work across the pitch from Aiden March, Jack Spears, Peter Armstong and the tireless ball winning tackling of Jake Hersey. Luke and Kasey couldn't be there today, but they should be included on the team being congratulated on a terrific first season. Thanks must also go to coaches Neil Cleaton and Simon Speed who have been with the players every minute of the training and matches, it is appreciated by the players and parents. Thanks also to parents for supporting the team throughout the season in an excellent sporting manner, which sets a great example.

Haunchwood 0-8 Rugby Town Falcons
25 March 2007

After a slow start, Rugby began to settle and several early chances were rewarded with two well taken goals from Harry Collings.

Rugby continued to push, with Harry scoring his third before half time. Rugby started the second half with more determination and started to pass the ball around well leading to two superb strikes from Jake Hersey. Alfie Speed continued
pushing forward and was rewarded with two well taken goals. Jake added to the score line once again with the second hat-trick of the game.

Well done to all the lads involved, another excellent team effort.

RT Falcons 2-0 Ibstock
25 March 2007

Another good game from the Falcons where the deadlock was broken early in the second half directly from a corner by George Heaven.

George then went on to score his second with a cracking volley into the rook of the net. Tom Cleaton then came close hitting the bar from distance. Luke Armstrong and Jake Hersey combined to play some excellent football down the right that created several good chances that Alfie Speed, Aiden March, Peter Armstrong and Jack Spears made some great efforts to turn into goals, leaving Harry Collings making some fine tackles when needed in defence. Well done everyone.

Oadby Owls 1-4 Rugby Town Falcons
18 March 2007

The Falcons had a very strong game in not letting the windy conditions affect their game at all.

The first half saw Tom Cleaton find the net, following up on a George Heaven shot. In the second half the Falcons kept up the momentum with George Heaven hitting a cracker into the roof of the net followed by Peter Armstrong firing home from close in and Jake Hersey with a cross that drifted in over the keeper. Well done also to Aiden March, Jack Spears, Luke Armstrong, Alfie Speed, Harry Collings and Kasey Hughes you all deserve man of the match this week.

Well done a good team effort.
