Daren agreed to join Rugby for the 2008/9 season in July 2008 after an impressive two-year spell with Spartans South Midlands Division One side Stony Stratford Town.

Dykes netted over eighty goals in two seasons for Stony which prompted Rod Brown to move for the big striker.

Daren started his career at Tottenham before moving to Swindon Town where he played several times in the football league. Daren had caught the eye of the Swindon management during a successful spell with Buckingham Town

A serious knee ligament injury halted Daren's progress but now he feels he can step back up the levels.
