Karl signed for Rugby in October 2009 from Woodford United to make his debut in the 1-1 draw against Truro City in the Zamaretto Premier Division.

A composed player, Karl has plenty of non-league experience at the relatively young age of 24 having had brief spells at the for the likes of Nuneaton, Solihull ,Leamington and Atherstone.

The centre midfielder netted his first goal for the club with an impressive free kick against Stratford Town in the Birmingham Senior Cup.
