Delroy is an excellent physical specimen with pace & strength in abundance who followed former manager Billy Jeffrey from Stamford, where he had scooped all of the Player of the Year awards, in 2005.

Played his first season for Rugby in the unfamilar right wing-back role but demonstrated his versatility superbly, banging in 11 goals during the season, also winning the Players' Player award.

The former Rushden & Diamonds trainee reverted to the more familiar centre back role for the 2006/7 season and the young defender has gone from strength to strength - putting in commanding performances and also chipping in with some vital goals.

Again had a strong and consistent season in 07/08 at centre back before signing a new deal to keep him at the club until 2009.
