Rob signed for Valley on a one-month loan from Blue Square North side Nuneaton Borough in March 2008.

The 22-year-old right back started his career with local rivals Bedworth United before being spotted by Coventry City. After failing to make the grade for the Sky Blues, he was snapped up by Nuneaton in 2004 and made the full back position his own.

Rob struggled to hold down a regular starting place for Boro in the 07/08 season, making only 11 appearances making him available for a loan deal to Butlin Road.

The Coventry-born defender has made over 150 appearances for Nuneaton including the draw at home to Premier League side Middlesbrough in the FA Cup Third Round in 2006.
