Andy
enjoyed a fantastic
first season with
Valley after joining
from BGB Premier
rivals Bedford Town
in July 2008 after
an 18-month spell
at The New Eyrie.
Stevens
was an immediate
hit in between the
sticks at Butlin
Road with impressive
displays of shotstopping
and the goalkeeper's
consistency earnt
him the Players'
Player and Supporters'
Player awards in
his first season.
The
22-year-old goalkeeper
progressed through
the youth system
at Bedford before
joining Yeading
(now Hayes &
Yeading) in 2004.
There he found first
team opportunities
limited as a young
goalkeeper, but
returned to Bedford
in February 2007
and impressed in
the first team.
Andy
was the first choice
for the Eagles for
the 2007/8 before
opting to join Valley.
Stevens
agreed a one-year
deal to keep him
at the club until
2010.
