Dave was appointed first team manager in May 2011 following Martin Sockett's departure.

Stringer had originally joined Martin Sockett's managerial team in May 2010 as assistant manager and was an integral part in leading the team to 6th in the Zamaretto Central Division.

Stringer was the manager of former Evo-Stik Division One South side Shepshed Dynamo in 2009/10 with a spell in charge of Coalville Town before this.

Dave was with Valley between 1999 and 2001 making 38 appearances with other spells as a player with Nuneaton, Atherstone, Bedworth, Bolehall, Racing Club Warwick and Barwell.
