A
four-minute second half double salvo from Swindon
Supermarine turned the game on its head and meant
a fourth successive league defeat for Rugby and
Rod Brown.
New
loan signing (from Walsall) Rorey Curtis got his
Rugby career off to the best possible start when
he turned home a David Staff corner inside the
first minute and Rugby were largely in control
in the first half.
The
next best chance came when Ashley Blake crossed
for an unmarked Dave Pearson, but the striker's
touch was heavy and allowed the goalkeeper to
smother.
Valley
had chances to finish the game off at the start
of the second half but Swindon found another gear
and the hosts started to panic.
Swindon
got their deserved and inevitable equaliser when
Rugby goalkeeper Richard Anstiss made a superb
save but the rebound fell to substitute Richard
Kear who poked the ball home from close range.
Just
four minutes later and Swindon scored the match
winner as David Stroud smashed in from all of
25 yards.
