Stephan
Morley's deflected free kick had given
Rugby the lead during the first half
but Gloucester quickly overturned the
score. |

Gloucester
City found it all too easy to collect all three
points for Rugby Town at Butlin Road as Valley
again put in another insepid display in front
of their own fans.
With
a performance that was miles away from nearly
the same players that collected impressive wins
at Tiverton and Yate recently, Rugby again could
not string passes together.
Tony
Diobson changed to a 3-5-2 system and introduced
new signing Nathan Morris into the back three
while Daren Dykes replaced David Kolodynski in
attack.
Valley
did manage to get their noses in front, albeit
in fortuitous fashion.
Stephan
Morley's long range free kick took a
wicked deflection which looped over Kevin Sawyer
in the Gloucester goal and into the net.
Gloucester
had already missed good chances before this and
continued to look dangerous and it was no surprise
when they equalised as Lee Smith
netted from inside the area.
The
Tigers were soon ahead when Tom Breward brought
down Jack Pitcher and Alex Sykes
tucked home the penalty.
After
the break Gloucester could have added further
to their total although there only extra goal
came as Jack Pitcher finished
from close range.
