With
the pitch in excellent condition, both sides were
able to pass the ball and keep possession well
and Rugby acquitted themselves admirably against
a side playing three steps up the football pyramid.
After
a goal-less first half, Tamworth took the lead
with Neil MacKenzie's low free kick somehow finding
its way through the wall and into the net leaving
goalkeeper Rob Webb standing.
Rugby
were level soon after with Seb Hamilton following
up Paddy Connolly's neat turn and shot.
Mitchell
and MacKenzie netted sloppy goals from Rugby's
perspective to take Tamworth in front before substitute
Danny Edmond reduced the arrears with a strong
run and shot late on.
MacKenzie
rounded off his hat-trick with minutes remaining.
More
to follow.
