Valley had to come from two goals down to earn a point against North Greenford United at Butlin Road.
An unchanged Town starting eleven went into the game in a confident mood, after having opened their campaign with two comfortable victories.
However they were punished by a spirited Greenford either side of the interval, before a Sam Belcher penalty and Justin Marsden’s equaliser in the closing half an hour maintained their unbeaten record.
Rugby had started brightly enough though, with Lewis McBride (twice) and Seb-Lake Gaskin testing the ample frame of visiting keeper Lee Pearce.
Striker David Kolodynski was withdrawn after 33 minutes with a hamstring strain, and the hosts fell behind shortly after when Anthony O’Connor headed home Louis Stead’s corner, which had been awarded following a good save to Omar Vassell’s goalbound shot by Niall Cooper.
Lake-Gaskin had a good chance to level things just after the restart, but he screwed his effort wide after he had broke free down the middle, and Valley were soon a further goal adrift – with O’Connor turning provider for Tommy Cameron’s neat low finish.
From then on, it was pretty much all Town, with Justin Marsden squandering a great opportunity when he rounded Pearce – only to see his effort deflected up onto the crossbar.
McBride also blazed wide, before Ellis Myles was tripped in the box, allowing Belcher to step-up and successfully strike home a penalty for the second successive game on 62 minutes.
Lewis Bishop was the next Valley player to fire one just off-target, before Marsden blazed home after Belcher had played him in following a neat passing move around the edge of the United box.
Valley substitute Sheldon Dodd almost grabbed a third with his first touch just seconds after his arrival on the pitch, but in the end the home side had to settle for a point from a game that they had been expected to win.
