Rugby Town played out a draw with a youthful Nuneaton Town XI in their final pre-season friendly.
Dave Stringer's pre-season preparations on the pitch are now complete as Valley rounded off with a draw before the season starts with Saturday's FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round tie at Coventry United.
Valley were without Ruben Wiggins-Thomas and Trey Brathwaite due to injury and midfielder Josh Thornton due to holiday and Rugby suffered more setbacks during the game as Craig Kelly looked to sustain a serious ankle injury while Chadd Birch and Mason Rowley were also forced off with injury.
The visitors, whose line-up only included a handful of first team players, took the lead just before the half hour mark when Niall Cooper's clearance was blocked in the box and the ball eventually fell to Charlie Chechlacz who found the corner of the net as Valley's defence scrambled to recover.
Valley did level soon after when Chadd Birch's bursting run down the right was followed with a low cross which was turned into the net by a Nuneaton defender.
Harry Holloway curled an effort against the crossbar from the edge of the box in the first half while David Kolodynski also struck the post in the second half.
