Another very frustrating evening for Valley youth ended in defeat in what was an entertaining game, that summed up the frustration of the start of the season.

The first half started with both sides quickly into their game plans, with both sides looking to pass the ball on the floor. Both carved out early openings without creating any clear cut chances.
Valley then created the games first real chance with a lovely worked move that left Jake Whelan clean through but he could only hit the post.
Tom park then had the clearest chance but was only able to slice wide.
Hereford responded with hitting the bar of their own and forcing Charlie Beck into an outstanding save in the stroke of half time.
Hereford started the second half quickly and scored. Valley youth moved the ball well and created second half chances but without ever forcing the keeper to work. As they Valley pushed for an equaliser they were hit on the break in the dying minutes of the game, which subsequently killed the game off.
Another night where valley youth can be pleased with the performance against an full time academy but again wasted chances have cost us points.
With thanks to Stanair.
